1) There are three kinds of Cheerleading: School, Recreational, and Competitive. School cheerleading is ovbiously done it your school, where you have to try out and support your team. Recreational ( Rec League ) Cheering is done by an athletic association in your town. You cheer for that association's team. Competitive cheerleading you have to sign up for ina provate gym. You DO NOT have to try out to be on this kind of squad. This is serious cheering. They do not cheer for a team, but compete at competitions. This is the kind you see on TV.
2) Cheerleading is a serious sport and not to be taken lightly. School and Rec are somewhat tamer, but still pretty hard. Cheering requires great physcial strenght to be able to stunt and tumble.
3) If you choos to become a cheerleader, most likely it will be nothing like the movies. There is not really that much drama. A lot of people don't go to sleep away cheer camp, and rival teams don't hate eachother. Your Squad is like family.
4) If your a base, (the person lifting the flyer) NEVER drop your flyer (the person in the air).
5) Live Love Cheer
