well cheerleading has to be organized because their are different parts to the routine that go on. If you just have cheerleaders running around on the floor nobody for one will get to their place on the right count and for two their are less injuries.

Basic cheerleading rules: smile at all times. point your toes at every jump. never drop your flyer no matter how she comes down. no stunting on a gym floor. hair must be up. no jewlery.
If you don't own any cheerleading shoes, usually any shoe store that sells Nike or Adidas has them!(: But, if you can't get cheer shoes by tryout time, try a white tennis shoe that is flat on the bottom and grips well to the floor. It is possible that you could be injured in cheerleading because of there not being mats. There should always be mats or a springboard floor in cheerleading, for the athletes to practice on. If at your gym there are not, I suggest you remove your daughter from the squad immediately
