Yes you can do lift weights and do cardio in the same day.it all depends on what your targeting during your workout. If you want to build muscle mass and bulk up, I recommend not doing cardio after or before weight training because cardio burns calories and you need those calories in order to rebuild muscle, however, if your aiming to lose weight, doing cardio and light weight lifting will help you reach that goal. It also depends on your health status. If your physically fit to do both, than go for it. But if your nit as fit and starting out, you should take it light and gradually increase because overtraining could lead to serious injuries both inside and outside of the body. Hope this helped.

As physically demanding a sport as basketball is, you want your major muscle groups (legs, chest, arms) to be completely rested and not strained from an earlier training session with the weights. Weightlifting involves the microscopic breakdown and repair of muscle tissue. Rest/recovery is an important factor in the process of building and or maintaining a persons body. Not on a basketball court!
In my opinion, definitely. Strength plays a huge part when playing Basketball and it is important to keep your muscles in shape. I would not recommend lifting weights before a big game or during playoffs.

It don't matter how fast you list the weights, it all depends on how much pounds the weights are, and how often you lift them. But I wouldnt lift them to fast, because you might pull a muscle.

The only way to add muscle is to lift heavy weights. Your muscles need to be overloaded to break them down and force them to adapt. You may be sore, but heavy weights is a necessity.
