The player that retrieved the ball. The blocker is credited with a block.
a block shot is when someone blocks a shot...... or a shot taken from the block
Casillas blocked the ball with his outstretched legs.
A blocked shot is considered a shot attempt. Once the ball leaves the player's hand, it is considered a shot if they trying to score.
When a blocked shot goes in the opposing team's basket.
It's off the defender who blocked the shot.
The ball is considered dead when it touches the court out of bounds or touches a player that is out of bounds. In this case, the ball would go to the team that blocked the shot. Had the ball touched the court out of bounds before touching the player, the ball would go to the shooting team.
You mean a shot block, it is only a block. Example: Player A inbouds to player B which takes it up and shots player 1 goes for the steal but, misses then, player B shots and player 2 blocks him. So that is what is a shot block. You mean a shot block, it is only a block. Only when the player has blocked a shot. If a shot is blocked by a player jumping at the net, that touch is not considered one of the three touches for the team and the player that blocked the shot may play the ball again without violating the 'twice in succession' rule. In all other instances it is against the rule for a player to play the ball two times in succession.
BS is a player's blocked shots, or how many shots they've blocked.
Work on your virticle leap. The higher you can jump, the easier it is to block. Wait till the ball leaves the hands of the shooter and is in the air, then jump. Make it a quick reaction to the shot. Even getting just a small piece of the ball will deflect the shot. Don't worry about getting your whole hand on it.
It is a blocked shot, not a shot on goal. To be counted as a shot on goal it has to be stopped by the goalie or a goal.
