By "make your own squad," are you asking about creating a group that cheers for a team at their games? If so, there is no particular age limit. Many amateur and semi-pro teams have local fans who organize to cheer for them. But if you are talking about competitive Cheerleading or high school and college cheerleading, that has become a very organized activity. In fact, some people want it to be considered a sport because these days, it requires acrobatics and athleticism rather than just yelling loudly for your favorite team.
Most high school and college cheerleaders are between the ages of fourteen and twenty-four, but there are exceptions. Some middle schools now have organized cheerleading too, which means some of the cheerleaders might be as young as ten or eleven. To make the cheerleading squad at most schools, you have to try out, and you have to demonstrate whatever skills the school expects from their cheerleaders. You will then be expected to attend practices and work with your coach to provide the school with the best cheerleading possible.
Yes. Look around your city, town, or where ever you happen to live and see if there are tryouts for a team. I was in cheerleading when I was seven years old.
Bolton wanderers football club has a cheer-leading squad and when you are old enough and good enough you can cheer on the pitch! the older squad is called Reebok rebels.
That would be the Dallas Cowboys. The original Cheerleading squad started back in 1960, then called the CowBelles & Beaux due to having female and male high school students in the squad. In 1969, the name was changed to the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders after it became an all-female squad. in 1972, the squad's age requirement was raised to women over 18 years old, and the uniforms were redesigned to the basics of what you see today. This new-look squad first appeared in 1972, and has been a staple ever since.
it got started in the 90s because girls/boys who didnt make there school cheer squad or whoever just wasnt old enough to be in hs could be in an all star team and that's how it got started!
I'm not quite sure if you mean teach cheerleading or if you mean to take a class yourself... Usually to take a cheerleading class the youngest age is usually 3 years old. To teach a cheerleading class I'm not sure, it usually depends on the gym/studio that you want to teach at. Sorry, hope that helped a little(:
