They continue serving until their team loses the point, at which stage the serve goes to the opposing team, and when they lose their point it goes back to the first team (and this when the player rotation happens so a new player will be serving).

it depends if you play rec if you miss the first serve you get to try again but if you miss the second time you can't serve any more until the next rotation and i think you get 3 serves maybe

if you play spirit or club you can serve an unlimited amount of serves as long as there's not an error on your side

In professional volleyball, you get one.

High school competitive rules were changed to allow "tosses" that are clearly not intended as part of a serve (subject to time allowance).

The server has only 8 seconds to serve.

If the server has not served within 8 seconds the referee will award the point to the opposing team for delay.
