Basically maintain the pressure, after use clean off any mud or dirt. DO NOT use a ball on concrete surfaces, roads and pavements. do not try to use a polish on the surface because this when its wet will cause the Ball to act like a bar of soap. Dry after getting wet but not in direct heat, like on radiator or in front of a fire . A ball surface, if its leather will crack slightly. This is because of the surface finish put around the ball at the time of manufacture. A real leather ball cared for will last for many years
