Graham Gooch is the highest run scorer in first class cricket (with 44,846 first class runs and 22211 List A runs). This gives him a comnined total of 67,057 runs scored. He is often accredited as the most prolific cricketer when it comes to run scoring at the top level. However, it should not be forgotten that the man he surpassed, Sir Jack Hobbs, was a truly great batsmen too. All of his 61,760 runs were obtained without List A matches. Had he had the opportunity to play limited overs cricket, he may have kept his title.
He scored 452 in first class national cricket. In international "test" cricket, his highest score was 334 not out at Headingly in England.
Donald Bradman's highest score in Test Cricket was 334 and in First Class Cricket 452(not out).

I think it's Brian Lara. He scored 501 runs in a First class match.
Brian Lara's highest score in Test cricket is 400 not out for the West Indies against Antigua in 2004.Brian Lara's highest score a first-class innings is 501 not out for Warwickshire against Durham in 1994, the only quintuple century in first-class cricket history.
First Class cricket.
Saeed Anwar holds the record for the highest individual innings in an ODI. The highest individual innings in first-class cricket is Brian Lara's 501 not out for Warwickshire against Durham in 1994. Lara, of course, also holds the record for the highest Test innings: 400 not out v England in 2003-04. The question asked, however, for the highest total in first-class cricket. The answer is 1107 for Victoria v New South Wales at Melbourne in 1926-27.

First-class and ODI are different things. First-class is any match at a first-class level with two innings per team. ODI is a 50/50 international match. Therefore this question cannot be answered.
