no it has a spirit team which is the same thing middle schools are not allowed to have cheerleading
When i did middle school cheerleading at my school it cost somewhere around $1,000. i know crazy but since then its gone down but if you take away the cost for camp its around $800. Love, JV Wildcat Cheerleader

Unfortunately Washington Irving High School does not have a cheerleading squad, but they do have a women/mens step team.
you become more flexible in cheerleading by practicing outside of the gym and stretching at least three times a day. Do all the stretches your gym or team does at practices and stay in the splits position for about 5minutes during a commerical or something.

Your local school or team of any kind will have tryouts and if your good enough they will put you on the squad.

Yes , you do travel when you become a cheerleader but only to cheerleading events such as cheerleading compititons , or if your school have a football team you will have the chance to travel with them to cheer them on in their games. :)
