∙ 15y agoNo, he did not (assuming you are referring to Bronson Arroyo). He started his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, was claimed off waivers by the Boston Red Sox, then was ultimately traded to the Cincinnati Reds just before the start of the 2006 season, where he still plays now.

I doubt it, because they can't pitch worth a crap, and probably never will.
Yes. He was the winning pitcher in Game 3, in which Boston defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 4-1.
Yes ... he gave up 5 hits and 1 run in the Tigers 4-1 win over the Cardinals.
No. Hampton pitched for the Braves between 2003-2006. He did pitch in the 2003 and 2004 NLDS but never a World Series for the Braves. He did pitch in the 2000 World Series for the New York Mets.

Babe Ruth was the first player to hit three home runs in a World Series game in Game 4 of the 1926 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. In addition, Ruth hit three home runs in Game 4 of the 1928 World Series, also against the St. Louis Cardinals. Reggie Jackson hit three home runs in Game 6 of the 1977 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. On October 22, 2011, Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals added his name to the list with three home runs in Game 3 of the World Series at Arlington, Texas. The St. Louis Cardinals first baseman hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning, a two-run shot in the seventh and a solo dinger in the ninth to pace the Cards to a 16-7 victory over the Texas Rangers.

as in losing the series? they lhave lost 7 ('28, '30, '43, '68, '85, '87, '04) out of 17 trips that's not too shabby, i will also note just for fun, that the cards and the Yankees have matched up in the series 5 times, and the cardinals have beaten the ultimate-world-series-franchise 3 of those times, including Murderers Row in '27 (Ruth, Gerigh) so who is the greatest franchise baseball?=) The Yankees played the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1927. The Cardinals defeated the Yankees in 1926 in seven games. The seventh game was one for the ages that included a supposedly hungover Grover Cleveland Alexander coming in to pitch in the 7th inning and shutting down the Yankees and saving the game and Babe Ruth being thrown out at second trying to steal for the final out of the Series. That's right, I meant '26, for some reason I always say '27 even though i know that's not right, it might be because '27 was the year they had "World Champions" on the front of their jerseys, but yes you are absolutely right about the '26 series Out of the 17 times the Cardinals played in the world seris, There should of been more than ten wins. Unlike most teams, The Cardinals feels like they have won enough. They try to let the Detroit Tigers win in 2006, but won the game anyway. The Cardinals felt bad and appoligised to fans. In 2004 The Cardinals wanted the Boston Red Soxs to win the world seris and the Bston red sox did.
