There is no difference. The only difference there MIGHT be is the bottom of the cleat. You can have METAL or MOLDED cleats. There are softball cleats that are metal but the majority of the time the baseball cleats TEND TO BE metal and softball cleats TEND TO BE molded. BUT, metal cleats are allowed in softball, made for softball, AND VISE VERSA. SO IT REALLY WOULDN'T MATTER WHAT CLEATS YOU BOUGHT.
Depending on what type of field you play on, you can either wear cleats of turf shoes. Cleats are the most common type of softball shoe. There are both rubber cleats and metal cleats, but most leagues do not allow you to wear metal cleats.
Not until you get to high school. It is against the rules if you are younger than that to wear metal cleats. Even some high school level teams don't allow it. They are banned because if you step on someone when they are sliding, it hurts alot!
No. Softball shoes with a cleat under the front toes cannot be used for soccer. However you can go the other way and use soccer cleats for softball. My daughter does fine without the toe cleat.
No it's ok if your are the right age.
Metal cleats are only allowed in some leagues of high school softball. You will have to check with your specific league to determine this. A lot of league do not allow them because of the increased safety risks
Yes,but it depends on if you are in travel ball, tournament ball,or regular school ball
Not metal! I don't know what type you REALLY use though. But not metal cleats.
It does not matter what kind of cleats you wear in a softball game. As long as they are cleats and you feel comfortable wearing them on the field, there is no rule against it. You may be at a disadvantage because there is no cleat in from to dig into the dirt when you are trying to accelerate. This toe cleat is what makes baseball and softball cleats illegal in soccer.
Yes, metal cleats are allowed in every middle and high-school.
No. Softball is not safe because if you slide you can sprang your ankle the ball is to hard and what if you have metal cleats and you slide into the catcher that could damage the catchers leg.
No! Not until you get to high school, and even some high schools don't allow them. You have to be very careful and responsible when wearing them because they are dangerous and can seriously hurt someone
