Yes 1. Pick 2 identical ends on each side of the head and run a string through them 2. make them really tight 3. Stick a 6 inch piece of wood on the top 4. Then take a hair dryer put it on full power and aim it on the sides of the head for 20 min 5. Put the head in the freezer for about an hour or two 6. take the wood and the 2 strings out then your done

How tight the throat of your crosse head is. A stick with a lot of pinch will be just barely wide enough at the throat to pass inspection. A stick with minimal pinch will be broader.
I'm trying to do the same thing. I have a traditional stringing (with the leather & normal strings) tape over the head completely and tightly so it doesnt get dyed, make sure it's totally covered...then dip it in the dye. It should work. I head RIT dye is the best.
