If you have an aluminum shaft with graphics ON TOP of the metal, then you can just take a quarter (because it won't scratch the shaft) and work your way around the stick scratching off the graphic. If it is composite, you are out of luck.
If you don't know how to take it off and your planing to get new stringing I suggest not doing it yourself. If you are going to do it yourself then don't cut the stringing strings untie all the knots and keep going from there. Again if your going to try to string it yourself, if it doesn't work out the first time keep trying it's all about trial and error. It took me four times to get it right and now half of my team has my stringing.

You unscrew the screw in the back of the head and then pull it off. You do the opposite to put it back on.
Usually there is a screw and you can screw the head through the hole in the shaft so the head will not come off during the game or when you are poke checking or throwing.
