What happens if a Soccer goalie drops ball while attempting a punt?
If it is inside the box, then he can grab it and punt it again. if it is outside the box, he can use his feet but not his hands. Also, if he drops it, opposing players may attack the ball and attempt to score.
When is a penalty kick used in soccer?
When a foul is committed inside of the 18-yard box, the ref will blow the whistle to signal a foul and that there will be a penalty kick for that reason. Yes, if the ball is deflected there can be no roughing/running into the kicker penalty. Also, if the punter drops the snap there can be no penalty.

a punt may be blocked by the kicking team without penalty unless there is some other illegal act involved. As long as the kicked ball is touched prior to the blocker contacting the punter the contact is ignored. For exanmple If the punt blocker were to block the punt and then make helmet to helmet contact with the punter there would be a penalty for the illegal helmet contact but not the blocking of the punt.

Well I have been a goalie and I am a soccer ref and there are a few rules first you cant touch the ball if your teammate passes it directly to you on pourpouse and you can only holdthe soccer ball for ten seconds you cant put sticky glue on your hands you are allowed todrop the ball and take it to the other goal without using your hands you are not allowed to use your hands outside of the goialie box and off a punt you can score

If the ball goes wholly and completely over the goal line - but NOT in the goal - and is last touched by the attacking team - it is a goal kick from the 6 yard line. If the goalie catches the ball and controlls it off of the ground - then he can then throw or punt it - it is his choice!! And if the goalie accidentally throws or punts it into his own goal - it is NOT a goal - it is a corner kick - because goalie punts are indirect and must touch another player before going into ANY goal!!!! If the goalie punts it and it bounces off another player and THEN goes it his own goal - it is a goal!!!!!

On a punt the other team gets the ball. But if it's just randomly kicked, who kicked decides who gets the ball.
