To be a good Netball player requires considerable ability. One must be able to move quickly and be agile when changing direction and holding their feet steady after they catch the ball. A player needs to be able to throw and catch competently and have sufficient upper body strength to pass steadily. It is also helpful if a player has good balance for defending and a sense of accuracy and precision for shooting.
How much energy is required basically depends on what role you are playing. the centre can pretty much run all over the field except the semicircle's whereas the shooter is only allowed in your goal third and your keeper is only allowed in the oppositions goal third trying to stop them scoring.
Overall every player needs to run around therefore using quite a lot of energy.

Being incredible flexible is not needed in Netball but it helps to be a little flexible to avoid injury, such as pulling a muscle. You don't need to be able to do the splits or anything really flexible ;)
