The NFL and the TV networks worked out contracts in 2006.
1) NBC signed up with the NFL through 2011 for $622 million per year.
2) FOX signed up with the NFL through 2011 for $712 million per year.
3) NBC signed up with the NFL through 2012 for $650 million per year.
4) ESPN signed up with the NFL through 2014 for $1.1 billion per year.
This puts the NFL's take at a little over $3 billion per year ... and this doesn't take into account the Sunday Ticket package on DirecTV which certainly brings in hundreds of millions more.
