The main point is to try to get it in the hole. Each player must stand on opposite ends and each player throws one sack then it becomes the other players turn. If you get your sack on the board it is 1 point. If you have part of the sack hanging into or over the hole that is 2 points. If you make it into the hole it is 3 points
