Why should you spend more time in studying instead of devoting all the time to sports?

I had SOLs this week and i had 2 in 1 day. Doing sports helps u study after u get all the excess energy out of ur system, that is why i do both. I do swimming to get my energy out and then when i get home i sit down and i finish my homework in 10 minutes because nothing distracts me.

Should schools offer six grade sports?

That said, intramural sports (those where teams from different schools compete) do have some beneficial aspects. But at a sixth grade level, exactly which sports they are should be carefully thought out, since people at that age range are not yet fully developed physically, and it's vital to not overtax the developing body in such a way that would damage it. If the choice is between "no sports at all" and "all the sports played at the high school level", then the former is definitely the better choice.
