∙ 12y agoA 10 yard dash time is really not a good judge of your speed, the distance is too short. A 40 yard dash is what you need to get a good estimate of your abilities. but I'll give you time for both
40 yard dash-between 5-5.8 seconds
10 yard dash-between 1.3-1.5 seconds

It completely depends on the gender of the runner and the age. If you are a female 14 year old I would expect you to get around the 14.5 seconds mark but if you are a 14 year old male the average would be about 13.2 seconds although many good runners at the age of 14 (such as my self) can reach the 9.8 second mark on a good day and with a bit of training. BUT REMEMBER don't worry about your time just worry about beating the people that you are running against and most importantly just have fun!! Note: whoever wrote the above statement.....Usian Bolt holds the world record for 100m which is 9.58 seconds and the women's world record is 10.49.....unless you are an olympian, that is a complete lie. The statement below I agree with and is the average in reality. I also see competitive high school girls get usually around 14-15 seconds.

An average time for a 14-year-old running the 50 meter dash is around 9 seconds. For a 100 meter dash, it would be about 13 seconds.
As a 100 yard dash sprinter in the 60's the average time would be about 10.2 to 10.3.
