Gymnastics is the basis of dance
Why not both!? Dance will help you with gymnastics, and gymnastics will help you with dance! Gymnastics is more of a mental sport, and if you decide to quit once you move up levels and it gets too hard, you can always do dance! Trust me, if you want to do gymnastics, at the minimum take a few ballet classes. They will help you gain flexibility, pointed toes and straight knees as well as your artistry in gymnastics. If you have enough money, I advise you to take dance and gymnastics.

Well, ballet and gymnastics are actually quite alike so the answer is no.
There are several fundamental positions in gymnastics. A few of the positions are straddle, tuck, hollow, and the arch.
gymnastics helps to stretch out the musles and get them in shape and keep the person in shape. but it also shrinks the amount of groth in the body. It doesnt stunt your growth.
Frown a smile takes 17 musles and a frown takes 43 musles

Balance in Gymnastics is when you use the balance beam to compete or use for recreation.
In all types of gymnastics you use almost all of your joints in your body to do gymnastics.
