In my studios, they join Intermediate Foundation. It is like a normal class but it can help your teacher decide what grade you should be in.
I do grade three and where i go you can join at any grade any time.
Grade 1 Ballet is a level like in music. In Ballet you start at primary. you primary exam is the 1st exam you take in ballet and when you take your primary exam and pass you move up into grade 1.Depending on the ballet school and teacher children are around the age of 6 at grade 1.
See I did ballet from the ages of 2-11 then stopped my lessons, after completing a grade 4 exam. I then carried on doing tap, modern and ballroom dancing. I wish to take up ballet again. What standard should I get lessons at? Go back to grade 5, or because of all my other experience go higher?
A ballet barre. You start using it around grade 1 ballet.

When you start to be a teenage is when its 8th grade until high school is over but sometimes it can start in 7th grade. But that's when you get 13, when most people start being a teenager. But really what a teenager is, is when you start maturing and not being a kid anymore.

Well, it depends on whether you're doing RAD or ISTD or any other grading systems. I am 13 too and I am currently doing grade 7 RAD which is quite challenging. I would probably start at RAD grade 5, as 6, 7 and 8 are much more complicated. XD
Acutally - it depends on where you go. If you dance with BTDA for example, it goes to grade 5, then intermediate and up. If, like myself, you dance with the royal ballet school, it goes to grade 8. pointe work does not start at a specific grade. I dance with the North Wales School of Dance and really, the pointe work strats around grade 5. But the ballet teachers will only let you start if they think that you are ready (ankles are strong, point is good) You really have to work hard and pointe is quite dangerous, you can brake your ankles.
when did ballet folklorico start and where did it spread
You can start learning ballet at any time. If you start too young, you could get into bad habits, and the Ropyal Ballet School says you should start around 6-7 years of age. You go down to the locakl ballet school, and if you are amazing, auditionj for the Royal Ballet School. Also, go for their Summer School. You learn LOADS, and it is amazing there!!
It's mostly teenager who start, but it's NOT a smart idea.
I think it should be 10th or 11th grade
