In almost every form of dance, a dancr must move properly. This is most over with precision and elegance. Moving fluidly is also important for many jazz or lyrical o Ballet type dances, too. To be able to do certain moves (leaps, stretches, slpits, turns, ect.), a person must be able to easily move their body in the ways required without harming themself. By being flexible, a dancer is easily able to do so, thus helping them with perfecting their dance technique and the overall effect and look of the actual dance.

Flexibility is important in the Martial Arts because it improves your range of movement, which helps for even the most basic of things, such as stances and various strikes. Also, stretching your muscles makes them stronger by gradually tearing and healing/rebuilding them.

It depends on the style of martial art you intend to perform. Most martial arts requires flexibility . Martial arts like mizongyi requires extreme flexibility and some lime muoy thai and Taekwondo only requires a certain extend of flexibility (especially at the legs) but you would gain advantage the more flexible you are.

Agility is important in dance because a dancer needs to be able to interact with other dancers. This agility will make formations look very smooth.
