In most ballet schools, your "uniform" would be a short-sleeved, black leotard, pale pink tights, and pale pink soft leather ballet shoes. Your hair should be in a bun and you should not wear jewelry.
It depends what style you dance. I dance Contemporary, so I wear a leotard, black footless tights, and ballet or jazz shoes which are tie up black soled shoes. I also sometimes wear a jumper over my leotard, and tight black dance shorts over my footless tights. Black leggings and a t-shirt are also common. In ballet, which I am starting soon, and have done before, I will wear my black leotard with pink ballet tights and ballet shoes. For street dance or hip hop, I would wear baggy trousers, a t-shirt and skate shoes or high-top trainers. So, it purely depends on which style.
I've never done that, but I'm thinking that you could just take a normal bra and cut off the straps and the part that wraps around the body so that its just the cups left. Then you could just sew that straight into your leotard. Also, if you don't go to a very strict ballet school, you may be able to wear a sports bra under your leotard. I usually wear a black sportsbra underneath a black leotard that is really low in the front, I make the colors match so that its less noticable. But you could mix and match the colors.
NO!! In dance you usually have to wear a black leotard or what is assigned.
Usually in ballet, you would wear a leotard( colours change for different grades., or boys wear blue leggings with white leotard suit, skin coloured tights or socks for younger grades, a skirt the same colour as the leotard and soft ballet shoes. either leather or satin. For character work you wear a long black skirt with ribbons around the bottom and black shoes with a slight heel. You can also wear pointshoes .http://www.dancegeardirect.co.uk/shop2.asphttp:/danceworldgroupzperiodzbcentralhostzperiodzcom/danceworld/imagesAngela_and_June_leotardszperiodzjpgFor girls--A uni-tard, tights and slippers (or perhaps Pointe shoes). For boys: A T-shirt, dance belt, tights and soft slippers. For a performance--actual costumes.
It depends on the studio. If you go to a hard-core really strict studio, they will probably require you to wear black. But a more familyfriendly less strict studio will probably let you wear any leotard you want in any color. Check with the teachers/staff at your studio to find out
