Yep - but first off, make sure you have your 10k course mapped out, wear satisfactory running shoes, do some stretching (legs, torso, etc), then just start running.
Keep track of your time also, so you'll have a benchmark for future reference...
actually yes they can
A 10k run is approximately 10,000 meters in distance.
It's perfectly OK to walk in most 10k races (although more people will be running than walking), especially if the race is titled "10k run/walk." However, if it's specifically called a "10k run," you might want to email the race organizers and ask if it's OK to walk. Sometimes a race has a "5k run/walk" and a "10k run," meaning that you can run and/or walk in the 5k but can only run in the 10k. Basically, it's most likely that walking is totally fine. It's not like they can disqualify you for walking, anyway.
That depends on how long you have been training for. I am 46 and run 10k or 6.2 miles on average 40 mins each time. hope that helps, training is the key to improving.
The choice between a 3k swim and a 10k run depends on your fitness goals, preferences, and current physical condition. If you’re looking for a full-body workout and lower impact on joints, the swim may be more beneficial. Conversely, if your aim is to improve cardiovascular endurance and you enjoy running, the 10k run could be the better option. Consider your training routine and what you enjoy more to make the best decision.
