Brett Favre

* edit *

absolutely not.

Brett Favre was a pretty good college quarterback but really didn't blossom into a great quarterback until after a few years in the NFL.

the best college quarterback is debatable.

recently, Colt McCoy set the record for most wins by a college QB, so he should be in the discussion.

Tim Tebow is arguably the greatest College Football player ever, so he's in the discussion.

Ty Detmer and Timmy Chang set tons of records, but really didn't play against the best competition, but still with the numbers they put up, they should be in the discussion.

Tommie Frazier led a dominant offense and was nearly unstoppable, although he isn't the prototypical quarterback, he still should be in the discussion.

Sammy Baugh and Davey O'Brien did amazing things for the period of time they played in. they were trailblazers for the passing systems we're accustomed to today.

you'd have to include Peyton Manning, Archie Manning, Charlie Ward, Danny Wuerffel, Roger Staubach, Michael Vick, Vince Young, Matt Lienart, Ken Dorsey, Steve Walsh, Sam Bradford, Doug Flutie, Dan Marino, Jim Plunkett, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Joe Namath, and a ton of other guys into the discussion.
