As a Houston Texans fan myself, I unfortunately have to say that they have never been to the Super Bowl. Although, they have been to the playoffs on a few occasions (three to be exact). The first was in 2011, when they lost in the Divisional Round to the Baltimore Ravens. The second was the year after in 2012, when they lost in the Divisional Round again, but this time to the New England Patriots. The last time was last year (2015), and they lost in the Wild Card Round to the Kansas City Chiefs.

What does this question have to do with the Titanic? Was Eddie George on the boat? Anyway, the answer depends on exactly how strict you're being. He played 7 years with the Tennessee Titans AND one year with the Houston Oilers, which of course is the same franchise that BECAME the Titans. So 8 if you want to include that year. You could've found this out for yourself in 2 minutes using a search engine. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GeorEd00.htm

The Tennessee Titans began play in 1960 as the Houston Oilers and were one of the charter teams of the American Football League.
