Gears are a way of trading power for speed, or the other way around. In 1st gear you're strong but not very fast. A good choice to get moving.
1st gear will always be your lowest gear no matter what bike you are on.
if your talking about starting the engine up, its best to crank a bike up in neutral but you can in first if you hold the clutch in if you mean riding the bike if you try to go in say fourth gear the bike is likely to stall
For Automobiles its usually the 1st gear or Reverse gear.
we should start a vehicle with neutral gear(0th gear). after starting shift to 1st gear so that to move the vehicle. when the vehicle is in 1st gear, it gets the power to start moving from the rest state. then , after attaining sufficient speed, change to 2nd, then 3rd, and so on. 1st gear gives more power, but less speed and top gears gives more speed, but lesser power. If we shift to top gears without attaining sufficient speed, engine starts knocking and the vehicle will be off within no time.
Between 1st and 2nd gear.
depending on the bike and surface you can start in 1st, 2nd and 3rd but most common gear to use is 2nd gear
i assume you're referring to the gears mounted on the back wheel. the larger(size) gear is 1, the smaller is 5, meaning 1 is low(relative) gear and 5 is high gear. same with a car.
'86 Samurai 5 speed transmission 1st gear final reduction ratio from the factory manual is: 3.652
115kmph is the maximum speed of the bike in original company setup....... due to the setup maybe it will get vary but its more than 115kmph only that is for sur Do this at Straight Road Shogun r 125 can go: 1st gear: 40 kph+ 2nd gear: 80 kph (sagad) 3rd gear: 110 kph (sagad) 4th gear: 120+ kph Personally i can go 130+ at downhill Roman Highway Bataan Peace!
First put the bike in neutral and push it as fast as you can. Next jump on the bike about half way down the hill' right after you jump on, pull in the clutch, shift into 1st or 2nd gear, let off the clutch, and give the bike a little gas.
Chevrolet S 10 five-speed transmission gear ratio is; first gear 1.15, second gear 1.63, third-year 2.37, and the drive gear 2.81. Chevrolet does offer optional gear ratios. I think those numbers above are backwards. It should look something more like this. For the type MW2 5 speed, 1st: 3.96, 2nd: 2.37, 3rd: 1.49, 4th: 1.00, 5th: 0.83. For the type M50 5 speed, 1st: 3.49, 2nd: 2.16, 3rd: 1.40, 4th: 1.00, 5th: 0.73.
