According to the USGA rules of golf as they pertain to the maximum number of clubs allowed In a golfers bag during a round of golf, 14 is the maximum number allowed and the putter is considered one of those clubs. A two stroke penalty per hole completed with an excess of 14 clubs will be imposed up to a maximum of 4 strokes. If a golfer completes his round and signs his score card with more than 14 clubs in his bag than he will be disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard.
Basically golf is played all year round. There are people known as 'Fair weather golfers' who only play in the good weather. The spring and summer are obviously the best seasons to play in.
Why would you need more, you got your driver, fairway woods, irons including sand and pitch wedge. and a putter. you dont have to bring every club you own, just whatever you think your going to need in a round of golf.
A full round of golf is 18 holes. Some courses are only 9 holes, in which case, the nine holes must be played twice. Any round which is less than 18 holes will not be considered a complete round.

None really, the only one you could really do a one handed grip with would be the putter or a small pitch, otherwise you wouldn't have enough control.
You would usually only use your irons and wedges as well as your putter. But you may need your woods depending on the length of the course.
