This was a hand time so is unofficial.the fastest electronic time was Chip Rish Marina H.S 45.2/ Scott Ruvolo in 1974 ran a 45.0 but it was taken off the books all though being only 16 years old . he ran on a dirt 440 track in norwalk California at an open meet after the official cif track season late June his junior year. records showed he wasnt even on the saddleback High track team that year and his time was stricken and he was disqualified. rumor is, he was kicked off the high school team because of the length of his hair, was then enjured his senior year and never ran fast again.
