Roger is known for his incredible tennis skills on grass. It is not surprising, then, that he has won Wimbledon six times and counting.

The surface upon which he likes playing the least is clay. This happens to be Rafael Nadal's surface of preference which does not make the feat of beating him any easier on Roger. However, despite these facts, Roger won the French Open for the first time in 2009, earning him the coveted red clay title and the career grand slam and also tying Pete Sampras' record of grand slams won at 14. Roger won his 15th grand slam on his favorite surface at Wimbledon, thus beating the record.
