An Eagle shot in Golf is a score of two strokes under par on a hole. The term came from the phrase an 'eagle's eye' (Eagles are excellent predators, spotting prey from miles away and capturing the prey with great precision), so In golf it means a very sharp and accurate shot.
Once upon a time, Tiger was beside the woods and he hit a high shot to try and miss the trees. Just at that time, an eagle was passing by and you know how fast eagles are. Well, this eagle grabbed Tiger's ball and dropped it on the green. The ball went into the hole.
If you are referring to the term 'eagle' in a particular sport, an eagle is 2-under par in golf.
In the USA it is known as a double eagle, in Europe it is known as an albatross.

I would think a double birdie would just be called an Eagle. Double Birdie is probably just golf slang for an Eagle, the much more common term. There is a Double Eagle though which is probably even more rare than a hole in one. That would be a score of a 2 on a par 5.
Albatros
Another name for a golf caddie is looper. It is come from making a loop around the golf course. This term can be heard in the movie Caddyshack.
