At the Masters golf tournament, players' scores are determined by the number of strokes they take to complete each hole. The player with the lowest total number of strokes at the end of the tournament is the winner. Each hole is assigned a par score, representing the number of strokes a skilled golfer is expected to take to complete the hole. Players' scores are compared to this par score to determine their performance on each hole.
Golf This is a Bristish term in golf for completing a hole three shots under par. Otherwise known as a 'double eagle'. e.g. Getting the ball in the hole in the hole in 2 shots on a par 5 hole. Acheiving this is VERY rare. 'Par' is the number of shots you would be expected to have to take to complete a hole in a game of golf.
Four (4) same as usual one under par
One can score points in the game Frisbee Golf in the same way as regular golf. The aim is to complete the course in as few throws as possible. If one completes a hole in one less throw than par they score -1, if they take one more throw than par it is +1 etc. The game is usually called Disc Golf.
A caveman invented golf. You take a stick and hit a rock into a hole.
Take it out of the hole and take a one shot penalty and place the ball no closer to the pin and in line with the hole.
The players, the person who is marking your card keeps your score, but you must keep it also so you can correctly sign your card at the end of the round. Signing for an incorrect lower score results in disqualification, signing for an incorrect higher score means you have to accept that score. It should be noted, the players are only responsible for keeping the scores for each hole, not adding up at the end.
3 completed score cards.
yes the golf score depends on the number of swings you take at the golf ball. A practice swing doesn't count. I would say a putt is somewhat considered a swing.
The expression "a hole in one" came from, on a golf course, when someone would take only one shot to get it into the hole.
An Eagle in golf is lower than a birdie. A birdie is 1 stoke below par on the hole and an Eagle is 2 strokes below par For example, on a par four, an eagle is two strokes on a par three, an eagle is not used. it is just referred to as a hole in one!
Quite simple, you just hit the golf ball on angles & other factors until you get it into the hole and at the end of the day, whoever has the lowest score of all the total swings it took wins. there is also par, which is a number of strokes it should take you to get it into the hole, thats why when you watch golf and it says they are 15 below par that means it took them 15 less swings than the course had set for their course.
