Bristol Golf Corporation continued to produce golf clubs through Ram Golf Corporation until 1986. Bristol was formerly called Horton Manufactoring Company. The Bristol division was incorporated into Ram and no longer operates separately.

They are not as good as they used to be. A lot of tour pros used to play them, but none now. They are a good set for beginners. Additional info from Dave: Ram did make Pro clubs (esp. irons) back in the day. In the 1970's and thru the 90's were Golden Ram Matched series, Golden Ram axials, Golden Ram Tour Grind, FX Forged, Tom Watson wedges and others that are amazingly excellent. I know because I own many of these clubs and am a very low handicapper who is knowledgable in vintage golf clubs (I know, get a life). Thanks. Dave Barnett - Redding California
They are decent quality clubs, ideal for a beginner or game improver. But they are not really used by low handicap amateurs or professionals. They are ideal for beginners because they are cheap and easy to hit. Correction: Ram did make Pro clubs (esp. irons) back in the day.
