Hi I'm an Anonomous 17 year old athlete competing in Strength Sports.
I would like to know what is a good time for the 100 meter sprint for somebody who has NEVER RAN before in there life?
My personal best is 13.81 seconds, which I feel is very poor even considering all the factors. I run the 30 meters in 4.3 seconds, 50 meters in 6.1 seconds, and yet I believe due to my poor SPEED STAMINA it takes me a whoppingly SLOW 7.7 seconds to complete the last 50 meters of the track. My Top sprint speed is not that poor however it is about 10.5 meters per second. This is considering:
* Sound delay of the whistle of 100m away (so 0.3 seconds due to speed of sound) = 13.5 seconds (best)
* Wind (possible)
* Dodgy stop watch timer
* I have no technique
* No starting blocks used, but started from the same position
* Regular flat trainers.
I would really Like an intelectual answer, Any suggestions, help or Advice?
Also my Bodyweight is about 12 stone, and I'm 6 foot tall.

The world junior 100 meter sprint record time is 9.97 seconds set by Trayvon Bromell of the United States in 2015.
usain bolt has the fastest time with 9.58 which he got in 2009 at the world championships in Berlin
11seconds
You can but your time would actually be slower than if you just sprint through. The best way is to lean as you break the finish line.
A good time for a 9 year old boy in the 400 dash is 1-1:15 minutes. If competing the time should be under 1 minute.
