Yes- Badminton birdies can hurt you on account if someone, say your big brother, whacks the birdie into your eye, it can shrink your pupil. If you don't believe me, try it yourself. Don't worry, the shrinking of the pupil is only temporary, depending on how hard your older brother whacked it into your eye!

As your older brother, I've been where you are—maybe not exactly, but close enough.

Depends on many things, new or old rules, whether they recover or if their team mate recovers either.

If it's old rules, it again, depends on if it's for the opposing teams' serve, or your own. If it's your own, you surrender the serve, if it's the opposing team's, they score a point.

In new rules, the opposing team scores a point.

If the shuttlecock's recovered, nothing happens of it.
