Artistic- this is when gymnasts compete indivdually on many different pieces of equipment such as vault,floor, bars and beam Aerobic- This involves teams where gymnasts are thrown by other gymnasts and perform things like sommersaults/flips. They only use the floor. Rythmic- this is when gymnasts compete individually and perform on floor and use things like hoops, ribbons and balls. It involves more dance and flexibility then the other types of gymnastics.
