The USGA regulates that the hole on a putting green must be 108mm (4.25 in) in diameter and a minimum of 101.6mm (4 in) deep. There are special circumstances where depth may be less than regulation.
USGA provides an online rule book with all player, course, and gameplay regulations.

Hole out is simply finishing a hole of golf, obviously by putting the ball in the hole.
The measurement of a golf hole for a golf course is always 4 1/4 inches.
That must be a rodent of some type.

Yes, in amateur golf there is nothing stopping you. The only thing you cannot do is change ball midway through a hole. On the professional tours there is a one ball rule.
15meters
Take it out of the hole and take a one shot penalty and place the ball no closer to the pin and in line with the hole.
A squirrel hole typically measures around 2 to 4 inches in diameter, depending on the size of the squirrel species. These holes are used as entrances to their burrows, where they store food, seek shelter, and raise their young.
ball
it doesn't count
You use a club to hit a ball into a hole.
In golf there is a certain number of strokes or hits of the ball that is required to finish the hole in, this is called par. If a person gets the ball into the hole one stroke or ball hit under par this is called birdie. It means you completed the hole faster than the average completion rate for the hole.
