You must enter and exit at the back of the circle. Your arm must start with the shot touching the base of your hand. You must push not throw, by extending your arm rather than turning your shoulder. (see the related link)
The shot put is measured in meters or feet and inches. The distance the shot put is thrown is measured from the inside of the circle to the nearest mark left by the shot closest to the circle.
You enter the back and exit the back or else you will be disqualified.

You should not leave a air rifle cocked for longer than is necessary to shot it. Over time the spring will deform it it is left cocked for a long period of time.
