Depending on what level you are competting in determines the highest possible scores. For all levels in womans gymnastics except Elite the highest score is 10.0 For Elites there is no highest score you get "bonuses" for skills. A high score for Elite is 14.0-16.0 depending on the meet.

A "good score" depends on the gymnasts' ability and competition. A beginner who is competing at their first meet in level 3 would probably consider a 7.5 to an 8.0 a "Good Score". However, a experienced gymnast competing level 7 would probably be a little disappointed if their score came out below 9. A perfect score is a 10.
