What is a frame in bowling?

Each game of bowling is made up of 10 frames, or sections. Each frame entitles the bowler up to two attempts to knock down all 10 pins. If the bowler knocks down all 10 in the first attempt, that is called a "strike" and his/her turn is over. If the bowler knocks down all the pins on their second attempt, the score is a spare and the frame is over. If the bowler scores a strike in the tenth frame, they get two "fill shots" or bonus balls. If the bowler scores a spare in the tenth frame, they get one fill shot.

If a strike is made in bowling and a pin stands back up and lands somewhere else what is done to correct the situation?

If a pin stands back up or is moved out of place, then it is not a strike. The pin must be bowled where it is standing. If the pin is out of range for the rack to pick it up and the sweep knocks it over, the pin is placed back in its original position. If the pin is out of place for the rack to pick up and the sweep does not knock it over, the pin must be shot at where it stands.
