A standard athletics track has an inside running distance of 400 metres. Most tracks have an 85 metres straight on each side, with curves at either end with a radius of 36.41 metres. There are usually eight lanes, each 1.22 + or - 0.1 metres wide.
Refer to IAAF Competition Rules Handbook 2010-2011 (downloadable from the IAAF website). Rule 160 provides the technical details of an IAAF 400 m track measurement
The straight would be 50m.
Track 100 meter 200 meter 400 meter etc.
That depends on the shape of the running track.

Field sports are those events that are not performed on a track. When you hear the term 'Track and Field', the 'track' sports are those that are performed on a track (100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 1500 meter run, etc.). The 'field' sports are not performed on a track (high jump, long jump, shot put, pole vault, etc).
Perimeter = pi*diameter so 200*pi = 628.32 metres.
If you are saying that the track is .125 of a mile, then it would be a 200 meter track. In that case, eight laps around the track would be a mile.
Trick questions - there is no such event. It is the 200 meters.
If it is 1500m, then it is 1500m, no matter how long the track is. If you mean how many laps, that would be 3.75 laps on a 400m track, and 7.5 on a 200m track.
