Shin splits, bag knees (goalies), ankle issues, and pulling muscles during the game
my brother had those, he just iced and heated them every day and didn't run for like 3 months
Your injury definitely needs to be treated by a doctor. If you have split your shin open, you will need to be evaluated to see if you need stitches. If the injury goes untreated, you could experience infection that could be life threatening.
Slide them on from the bottom of your feet
it was a series of splits in superstructure about probably 10 feet long each
Either the surface you're running on or the sole of your shoe will cause the muscle to seperate from the bone. The only sure fix is rest and ice compressed against the shin. Also invest in some insoles that match the natural arch of your foot.
Runners probably suffer shin splints more than other people, but they also occur in people who play basketball and tennis and those who walk long distances. People with flat feet, high arches, or feet that turn outward may be more prone to shin splints.

I have experience with shin splits, the best thing to do is take little dixie cups and fill them with water and then freeze them. Once theyre frozen peel off the cup a layer at a time as you rub the ice on your shins. Do it after every workout.
