The question could be asked, "Who is the ONLY ML pitcher to throw back-to-back no hitters?" The answer:Johnny Vander Meer, Cincinnati Reds, mid '30's. The second no -hitter was also the first night game ever played in Ebbets Field, Brooklyn. Also Ray Washburn was the first person to pitch back to back no hitters in 1969 in the same ballpark.

The last 9 inning no hitter that was a loss was on April 30, 1967 between the Baltimore Orioles and the Detroit Tigers. Steve Barber and Stu Miller of the Orioles combined for a no hitter but the Orioles lost 2-1. The only single pitcher to lose a complete game no hitter was Ken Johnson of the Houston Colt 45's in 1964. He no hit the Cincinnati Reds but lost 1-0.

Don Larsen of the New York Yankees in 1956. His no hitter was a perfect game and, as of the 2009 World Series, is the only no hitter thrown in World Series history.
