The University of Kansas basketball team roster in 1983 included notable players such as Danny Manning, who was a standout forward and later became an NBA star. Other members of the team included guards like Cedric Hunter and forwards such as Ron Kellogg and Greg Dreiling. The team was coached by Larry Brown and made a significant impact during the NCAA tournament that year. They ultimately reached the championship game but lost to North Carolina.
UNC was a number 1 seed in the 2009 NCAA basketball tournament.

There is no limit to the amount of players that can be on a college football roster during the regular season. However, during the off-season the NCAA regulates that a total of 105 players are allowed on the roster.
NCAA Division 1 men's basketball teams are limited to 13 scholarship players each academic year(NCAA Bylaw 15.5.5.1). My research has yet to lead me to an NCAA limit on TOTAL D1 MBB roster sizes, but the 2013-14 Kansas Jayhawks roster had 18 players on it (13 scholarship and 5 walk-on players).
