Make a Point after touchdown (PAT).
A "TD" in football is a "touchdown" and is worth 6 points. Following a TD, a team has an opportunity to score a "PAT," or point after touchdown. This can be a kick for one point, or a run for two points.
Safety (tackling the ball carrier while being in his own endzone) and PAT (Point After Touchdown), I think.

To score a touchdown in football, a player must carry the ball into the opponent's end zone or catch a pass in the end zone. This action earns the team 6 points.
In American football, scoring half a touchdown is not possible because a touchdown is worth 6 points. Scoring half a touchdown would not contribute to the team's overall score.
