I believe that almost every pitcher who has pitched for more than 30 innings has struck out someone in three pitches. It isn't very hard for a pitcher to strike someone out in three pitches, especially if they have pitched for 30 innings.
The Atlanta Braves won 14 consecutive division titles between 1991 and 2005. In 1991, 1992, and 1993 they won the NL West. Then the end of the 1994 season was canceled due to a strike. The Braves then moved to the NL East, where they won the division from 1995 - 2005.
Yes.When Babe Ruth retired in 1935, his 1330 career strikeouts was an MLB record. That record was broken in 1964 by Mickey Mantle. He never held the MLB single season strikeout record. That record, during the length of Ruth's career, was 120 by Gus Williams of the 1914 St. Louis Browns. The most times Ruth struckout in a season was 93 in 1923.

Yes.
The first major league pitcher to reach 1000 strike outs had to be Tim Keefe, who played for several teams from 1880 to 1893 and recorded a career total of 2,521 strike outs. Cy Young was probably the second pitcher to reach 1000 SO. Young pitched from 1890 to 1911 and had a career total of 2,803 strike outs. Young also holds the all time record for most wins (511), most losses (313), most starts (816), most complete games (750) and most innings pitched (7,357).

For the pitcher's ball/strike pitch numbers, it is counted as a strike.
