I'm doing a research paper on the Olympics, so I thought I might answer this question. The purpose of the Olympics is to bring together countries peacefully in a way where everyone wants to participate. It's a way to bond and make strong friendships out of the sturdy respect of good sportsmanship. It's a chance for many people to show off their skills and to give it all they've got, win or loose. The best of the best compete, and the number one person will come out on top. It's a simple way to demonstrate that we all have goals, and we are all humans that can all reach for the stars. That's what the Olympics are for. They heal the countries and bring much needed peace to our how could they be for bringing people together that's nonsense only six people comprised and it was all men every thing after the word he is the truth and whoever wrote that needs to do some research and get there facts straight because every thing above is a lieEverything above is true but that's more for the Olympics today. For the ancient Olympics it brought people together but more importantly it was designed to bring pride into your city/state or polis and to bring happiness to the god of your polis.
