All Canadians don't play hockey. Because Canada had cold, extended winters, winter sports have become very popular, as they do in most colder climates. Similarly, many warmer climates foster warm-weather sports, like soccer and Baseball. In locations near water, you'll find a lot of Surfing and waterskiing. Well, as much as I would like to live up to the steriotype and say yes, we don't, and actually Hockey is not even the most played sport in Canada. Believe it or not more people play golf than Hockey. But the kids that do play hockey in Canada grow up to be world class players.

Hockey is an international sport, not exclusive to one country. Many claim that Ice Hockey, a variant now popular there, was also invented in one of the regions, but there are other conflicting accounts and nobody knows for sure. Suffice to say, it is popular enough to be considered a sport of Canada.
