You should not play sports when you are suffering from a cold. As at that time when you have a cold, your immunity goes down. Due to that, you would suffer different diseases. So I suggest that you should fully recover from the cold and only then you should play the sport.

Well, if you have a very strong flu, you should not play sports. You should rest your body until you think you could play. If your flu is not so strong, than maybe if your feeling well, than you should play.
