To refill a paintball tank, you must first go to a paintball field or store with a paintball air compressor. You can't refill them with just any Home Depot compressor, it takes serious pressure to fill these tanks. Find the fill station with the same pressure as your tank (3000, 4500 or 5000 psi) and hook up the fill hose to the fill nipple on the side of the tank while it is attached to your gun. Then press the lever or button in until the gauge on your tank or on the filler is at the correct pressure and release. Then unhook the fill hose.

HPA is a more consistent propellant that is recommended because of the increased accuracy and efficiency it has. It can also be easily refilled on gun and can be measured in PSI. HPA is the better option for performance.

CO2 is a cheaper, Less consistent, higher capacity propellant and is only recommended for people who do not play at a field where there is an air compressor because of the amounts of shots it can hold. CO2 bottles are measured by weight making it very hard to tell how much is left in one.

a compressor capable of pushing over 4,500 psi and an adapter. the adapters aren't that expensive but those compressors arent cheap. The ones you find at lowes and home depot only go up to around 300 fps. you need a Scuba tank compressor. or you could get a scuba tank and an adapter. you can fill your own paintball tank many times and then have a scuba shop fill your large tank for a few dollars. its cheaper that way

There is usually 850 psi in a co2 tank. An HPA tank is a totally different story.

Yes, but certain markers will not work as well with it. It is a lot easier then getting HPA guns to run CO2.

What propels a paintball?

A compressed C02 tank or High Pressure Air tank propels the paintball.

Who invented the compressed air tank for paint ball?

Compressed air tanks were around long before paintball.

Is HPA air tank rechargeable?

Yes! The purpose of an Air tank is so that you can refill it. Almost any Paintball Field or store can fill your tank.

Do all paintball guns have the same tank?

if u mean the tank that you put your shoulder against and what powers it. no u can get co2 or compressed air (compressed air is better for your gun)

What can you use to refill a HPA paintball tank?

HPA means high pressure air, so it basically means everything you breath in compressed into a tank

Can a twenty ounce carbon dioxide paintball gun tank shoot with compressed air?

NO the gases are different densities and the tanks are specifically made for that gas pressure. If you can afford a gun that needs compressed air then you can afford the tank too.

What size compressed air tank is needed for a paintball gun?

The sizes 9 oz and all the way up to 20 oz can be used for paintball gun. Some of the paintball guns are supposed to be used by the larger tanks. So the size of tank depends on your paintball gun.

Can a Nerf gun be modded to be as painful as a paintball gun?

No. Nerf guns always use springs to pressurize a small amount of air in a small plastic tube, where paintball guns have a highly compressed air or co2 tank in steel or carbon fiber tank.

Can you fill a hpa paintball tank with compressed 02 from a welding tank?

NO! Hpa is compressed air, which is mostly N2. Filling a tank with pure oxygen has a large chance of combustion, which under such great pressures will cause death or serious injury.

Why do you need CO2 tank for paintball?

If you meant "why do you need any gas tank for Paintball": the expanding c02 or hpa is what pushes the ball out of the barrel at high speeds and can be used in reseting the gun. If you meant "why you need a C02 tank specifically": you dont need a co2 tank to play paintball. their is compresed air tankes available. most electrical guns must run on air enless you want to be doing maintenance on the gun after every game and replace parts after 5 games. most non electrical guns also can be ran on air but is capable of runing on co2 but air would keep your gun in better condition. You need co2 or compressed air(nitrogen and compressed air are the same thing) so the paintball can fly out of the barrel and to re cock your gun automatically.

How do you refill a co2 tank for a paintball gun?

Take it to a shop! if you want to do it yourself the normal way is to put the bottle on scales and fill it from a larger bottle to a fill weight. To be honest though CO2 is well out of date. A smart move would be to move onto compressed air.

For a paintball rifle is CO2 better than compressed air?

No compressed air would be better for accuracy as well as your gun. Its like co2 but at a higher pressure with cleaner air and no liquid that can damage your paintball marker.
